Adult Classes
September 12, 2019 to April 30, 2020
Registration Night: Thursday, September 12, 2019
Registration is open throughout the dance season!

Our adult classes are held every Thursday evening from September to April. We offer classes for those 18 and over, as follows:
Class A - Beginners and Improvers
Learn basic steps along with basic and more complex formations and dances.
Class B - Mixed Ability Class
Continue to learn more complex formations while improving technique, phrasing and enjoying more challenging dances.
On most evenings the first 1 hour and 15 minutes is taken up in separate classes according to the level the dancer is in, followed by everyone coming together for a few social dances. During the social time we usually do the dances that the Class A have just learned, some old favourites, and occasionally Class B will demonstrate a dance they have learned. The social dance period is a fun, casual time where we can get to know one another. There will be no social time on long nights when classes will run for the full 2 hours from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. Long nights happen about four times a season.
Social evenings are held throughout the year along with four special events: St. Andrew's Workshop and Social in November, Robert Burns Social in January, Annual Workshop and Ball in February, and Summer Ceilidh in June.
Please note that the teachers will make all final decisions regarding class placements. Individuals may be asked to change class level if the teacher feels it's appropriate. The changes will be made to benefit the individual, as well as the class as a whole.
