Please join me in volunteering for a shift or two at our CASINO ; )

Our next ECCDS (Edmonton Caledonian Country Dance Society) Casino will be held Sunday, October 22 & Monday, October, 23 at the Century Casino Edmonton (13103 Fort Road).
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Youth members under 18 can have a parent, guardian, friend, or relative volunteer in their place—in fact, the more the merrier! The same goes for any member who would like to volunteer, but due to life circumstances and commitments, is unable to volunteer for a shift on those two days—feel free to ask someone to volunteer in your stead!
Casinos can be a lot of fun, and there are a wide variety of positions to volunteer for, all of which have on-site training as required, a supervisor (and many cameras) keeping track of everything, so you don’t need to worry if you’ve never volunteered to work a casino before, or if you’ve never even stepped foot in one! You will be well taken care of (you even get fed!), and in turn you will help ensure ECCDS can keep providing dance classes, the venues we hold them in, a BALL and workshop weekend, and many other aspects of dance we all enjoy.
I’m attaching a PDF of the schedule that shows volunteer positions still needing to be filled as of May 24 (please note: this is for information purposes only; it is not a fillable form). If you are able to sign up for a shift (or two!), please email me at juliesinclair@me.com or phone me at 780-499-6869 (please leave a voicemail with relevant info!) and let me know what shift you’d like (Position Name, Day of Shift, Time of Shift), and please include the best phone number to reach you at. Please note: you can volunteer for more than one shift, but it must be for the same position (e.g., if you sign up for cashier on Sunday, you can only volunteer for another cashier shift on Monday, etc.).
I will sign people up on a first come, first served basis in the order I receive them, allowing for adjustments as needed along the way. If you volunteer for one of the Key Positions (General Manager, Alternate General Manager, Banker, Cashier, Count Room Supervisor) AGLC requires you to fill out a Casino Volunteer Worker Application Form, I will attach a PDF of one with this email, please fill it out and email it back to me, or I will make arrangements to pick it up from you.
I know October seems like a long way away, but please check your schedules, pencil in a ‘save the date’ on your calendars, and join me in volunteering to help earn vital gaming revenue for Edmonton Caledonian Country Dance Society! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
For those of you who have already signed up, rest assured I’ve got you on the schedule and I will be sending out confirmation at a later date.
I’m attaching 4 PDFs
- schedule of the available positions;
- AGLC Casino Volunteer Worker Application (for Key Positions only, please return completed form to me);
- Casino Advisor's description of volunteer positions;
- Casino Advisor’s Information for Volunteers
