What IS Scottish Country Dancing?
Scottish Country Dancing (SCD) is a sociable dance form with roots stretching back for centuries. Participants are grouped into sets, typically of 3, 4, or 5 couples arranged either in two lines, or in a square, work toether to dance a series of formations. Membership Benefits
Yes, if you become a member, our weekly classes are free. If you are interested in attending other RSCDS events, there are scholarship opportunities available from within our club, but also from RSCDS head office.
Not a member, but what to try it out
Not a problem. September is the start of our dance year, and it is also free for non-members!!
If you want to try a class or more, when it is NOT September, not a problem! The first 2 free, then it is $5 per class.
What do I bring to my first class?
Soft soled shoes (the more flexible the better), a drink bottle and yourself!
Who are, or what is, RSCDS?
